According to Marca, Valencia are interested in signing West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez in the upcoming January transfer window.
What’s the word?
The Spanish outfit are apparently targeting the former Manchester United striker as a replacement for Michy Batshuayi, who has seen his game time at the Mestalla limited since making his loan switch from Chelsea in the summer.
Hernandez, meanwhile, has been in good form for the Hammers so far this season, though, he too has seen his game time restricted by the involvement of Marko Arnautovic.

The 30-year-old may well be tempted by a switch to the La Liga club in January. However, the east London outfit can’t afford to let the 105-cap Mexico international go without first identifying a replacement.
Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge would be the ideal man to step into Hernandez’s shoes at the London Stadium.
A point to prove
Sturridge’s career has been ravaged by injury in recent years, and his absences have seen him usurped in the first team at Anfield by the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. If the 29-year-old is to get back to playing regular football, and stand any chance of forcing his way back into the England national team set up, he must seek pastures new.
Sturridge is a fine Premier League striker, and a switch to West Ham would give him the chance to prove his enduring quality. If he can keep fit, then the 26-cap England international could have a huge impact for the Irons.
