After watching the burly Sead Kolasinac be the side’s first-choice left-back for virtually the entire season, it’s no surprise that Unai Emery is seemingly interested in potentially getting an upgrade in that position.
The Bosnian powerhouse was a potent attacking force going forward but his defensive struggles often left the side exposed and he was a major part in Emery’s side conceding 51 goals in the Premier League last season.
Now, reports from the Daily Mail claim the Gunners are stepping up their interest in Celtic’s 22-year-old left-back Kieran Tierney and that the north London side would have to make an offer in the region of £20m for the Scottish side to even consider accepting it.
The transfer news saw Arsenal fans take to Twitter to voice their approval of the potential signing and suggested that for the price that was being quoted, it would be “absolutely worth it”.
Some Gunners supporters however were rather less optimistic about their chances of signing the left-back and felt the Gunners’ questionable negotiation tactics might seem them eventually pull themselves out of the running.
