da betobet: Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton has tipped his teammate Gylfi Sigurdsson to join Everton before the end of the transfer window.
da winzada777: The Iceland international has been targeted by the Merseyside outfit for some time, but Swansea seem to be digging their heels in.
According to The Guardian, the Welsh club are demanding a £50m fee, and they have stuck to that valuation so far having rejected Everton’s bids of £40m and £45m.
The Toffees have been very busy in the transfer window so far having spent more than £100m on new faces.
Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Henry Onyekuru, Sandro Ramirez, Michael Keane, Wayne Rooney and Cuco Martina have all made their way to Goodison Park over the last few weeks.
It appears that manager Ronald Koeman is not done yet, and Sigurdsson is on his list of priorities.
While Britton would obviously choose to keep the midfielder at the Liberty Stadium, he concedes that his teammate is likely to move on.
Britton told BBC Radio 5 Live:
“He’s a big influence in the top end of the pitch for us, but unfortunately the club we’re at, Swansea, when the bigger teams come calling it is hard to keep him.
“The club have stood firm. By all accounts they’ve said they want £50m. I don’t know if it’s going to get done. I think Everton have maybe offered £40-45m so I think there’ll be some movement now and Gylfi will go.”
