da dobrowin: A huge majority of the West Brom fans that voted in our poll want youngster Kyle Edwards to be considered as the backup to Matt Phillips at right wing-back after the game against Reading on the weekend was completely changed following his introduction.
da betcris: Tyrone Mears has been covering for Phillips recently as the Scottish international has missed the last three games with a muscle strain and it is not known when he will be back, although the Baggies will be hoping that he is at least available for the bench after the international break.
Phillips has started the season brilliantly in his new position of right wing-back under boss Darren Moore, scoring four goals and providing one assist in 10 appearances throughout all competitions, and the West Midlands side have missed him recently.

Summer signing Mears is now 35-years-old and understandably struggled when asked to cover the whole right-hand side of the pitch. Against Reading on the weekend though, 20-year-old Kyle Edwards was brought on in the second half with the scores at 1-1 and the final score ended up being 4-1 to the Baggies.
Now, 97 per cent of those that answered our poll want him to be the backup to Phillips rather than Mears. Check out the full results below.
